* sigh *

it
just
isn't
going
to
mow
itself

which
begs
the
question

~

WHY THE HELL NOT?!!

Look on the bright side, at least your grass looks green and lush. Mine is full of clover, and chickweed, and other not grass elements that will grow fast and grow without water or sun--I shiott you not. So I still have to mow, but I don't get the benefit of looking at a beautiful lawn when its done.

Trée -- alright...I'll try :-] it does look halfway decent when it's done.

what is even harder than self-motivating to mow is motivating a 17-year-old to mow the lawn. His procrastination translates into several inches of growth! We tried an old-fashioned human powered push mower but it was so darn picky about only working on short grass that it just didn't work for us!

My grass is still brown, but that damned stuff'll green up soon and force me to pull the mower out of the shed.

I think every home-owning cyclist should just buy a goat.

Pull up the stake, move it to a new section of lawn, pound it into the ground, and go fer a ride while Daisy has a salad!

Ptelea -- I've got one of those push mowers too, but had problems with letting grass grow too long (out of town for a week+ one summer) and I just couldn't get the lawn back to looking good...I may try using it more this summer and pull out the gas one when needed.

Tim -- I LIKE the goat idea!

Too funny, OB! Just too funny! I dare not look at my back-jungle, but hell I’m ecologically minded. I’m turning it into a nature preserve. (Is this what happens to bike people?)

Alberto -- I always thought bike people were that way because they're ecologically-minded...I'm realizing it's just because they want to be out on the bike!
