No News is Good News

Oceanside, OR...breezy, chilly; beaches, vineyards and seaside towns; waking up to the surf with ten of my best friends in the world...

Hi Old Bag,

Hey, I started a blog! Thanks for the lesson. After trying a number of different names, I decided on Emma Pod (from the pods and drones conversation). It's at
http://emmapod.blogspot.com/

I used that lovely picture of me from your website, at least for now.

I hope you're having fun and that the weather is good.

Go Bobcats!

Hey, OB, enjoy. I’m jealous. No vacation for me yet and none in sight for the next month. Depressing.

Dear OB,
see what you started? Pulled out the running shoes yesterday to take a break from the bike.

Now I remember why I enjoy running so much...

I was thinking of moving on -- maybe a trip to southern Oregon would be necessary on my way to SF

CP -- hopin' so! I know there have been other times that coming back means coming back fresh.

Emma -- Yay!

Alberto -- hoping you can find some quiet time here and there before you can actually go here and there.

Erein -- Good for you! I wish I saw running the same way you do.

Shawn -- the northern coast is cool and breezy. If you head this direction, let me know and I'll send you some names of good hole-in-the-wall seafood restaurants.

Hey TOB how long are you in OR? My family and I will be down in Lincoln City, OR for a well deserved beach vacation on the 9th-13th. It is just south of Oceanside. Still trying to heal/seal up 3 1/2 weeks so far?... I posted my latest anti-climactic news you should stop by some time. Hope you are enjoying and relaxing at the beach!

Oh -- I don't think I will making it as far north as that -- but thanks.

Brandon -- I'm on my way back to the midwest tomorrow (Aug 1st). Hope you're doing well!

Shawn -- you know, anywhere along the OR coast is wonderful. I was out here a dozen+ years ago on a bicycle tour of the coast...beautiful!

I'm jealous, too. I've never been to the West Coast. Need to get out there. Take pictures for me! :)

OB, totally awesome. This is good news. A great vacation is fair exchange for giving up biking (for a time). 'Member, no pining over the bike until the vacation is over.

Sounds like heaven.

Yes -- I have been there a few times. I will be visiting an old friend aabout an hour from the coast, with my son. We may visit the redwoods NP for a day or so.

We are going to maybe go for a hike in the Kalmiopsis Wilderness.
