Since I am an expert on color and a bit of a reductionist. I try to reduce colors to their 11 basic names.
In earlier times when they were inventing names for colors it seems that pink was actually the fourth color named (in whatever aboriginal language), in the order of white, black, red, pink, on so on.
so all colors are one of:
black white red pink orange yellow green blue purple (screw violet -- purple is the color of royalty) brown baby diaper
