It was Christmas

we rode with the
falling snow
in the dark
along the roads and trail
that could take us to the river
but after a busy Christmas day
it was time only for
watching the snowflakes
catch light
and flurry around spokes
until our feet were cold
then we rounded the curve
to head for home

Pretty. That looks like it could be the cover for a Christmas Card.

It may have been christmas but for some of us it was just another day...

There's something magical about riding through a steady swirl of snowflakes and the picture captures it perfectly.

Nicely written Jeanne. Happy Holidays. No snow here, only rain and gray skies.

I didn't mean for that to sound as snarky as it did...

It's just that this holiday season wasn't all that much to write home about what with no family or money and all that.

...yeah, I'll shut up now and go back to lurking...

Warren -- thanks...Photoshopped because the pic itself didn't turn-out so well.

Marrock -- in many ways it is just another day. I think too much emphasis is put on the day...we were a ton happier just doing what we do.

Wheel -- it was a great night.

'Bite -- thanks!

Roberta -- thanks, and nice to see you again!

Tree -- thanks for stopping by again!

Judy -- nice to see you again! Happy New Year to you!
