Had a conference to go to on Monday.
Downtown.
Hopped the bus a block from home, dropped-off with two blocks to walk.
10 minutes.
Maybe 12.
Fresh air and conversation.
Same on the way home.
I could get used to it.
I watched with the sound turned off, because I remember that song from my childhood (my older sister played it a lot) and I don't need it stuck in my brain all night.
I don't even want to know how you found that video.
Tim -- all you have to do is plug-in Petula. She's still got quite a fan club.
'bite -- I don't want it badly enough to give up my profession (no public schools in downtown) nor my salary (when teachers leave one school district for another, their years of experience count for nuthin'))
A friend of mine convinced his insane buddy to make me a CD of all his Mrs. Miller records. This is weapons grade weird. Every now and then, me darlin' Mrs. will play the whole thing and the dog and I go into the office and whimper.
73 minutes of Mrs Miller is a lot of Mrs Miller...

OK, you have to click on the Petula link and watch at least the first 18 seconds' worth to catch the the dancing guys.
Man, those were the sixties....
*sigh*
Damn! It doesn't get any gayer than that!

"I Want to Work in the City"
Then why don't you?
Good to have you back! I've always been partial to Mrs. Miller's version of Downtown...

I agree...it's possible to have too much of a good(?) thing!
No. Take it from me - you don't. Especially not in wintertime.

P.S. Word verification is: sfusuf. The sound of walking in soft snow!
