Last weekend, Wheel and I headed to South Dakota for my nephew's graduation I've gotta lose a couple of years if I'm going to party like that and we hooked up with Snakebite and his SO for a ride around Sioux Falls. The 19 mile trail shows off all the faces of Sioux Falls: plains (obviously, from the pic below) and the beautiful Falls Park; and winding trail next to the river, through neighborhoods into downtown. It was a great ride after nearly four hours of sitting in the car.
Over the years, with only the blog as an introduction, I've met up with 7 or 8 other cyclists (and family in some cases) in places as far away as Arizona and Alaska. Pretty cool.

In the unlikely event you ever visit Southcentral Pa....ya gotta look me up:-)
I got to ride on the SF bike trail last summer. Unfortunately it was after 7 hours of riding into the wind. TdK's mileage was to get to Sioux Falls. Then we had several more miles on winding trails to get to Falls Park.
@George -- Of course I will!
@Jeff -- I've thought about TdK, but it doesn't seem to fall on a good week for me. Our school year ends so late, that week we're either still in session (like this year) or it's the week that we're just out and have curriculum-writing on the schedule. I'm from that neck of the woods and it would be fun to ride the area more.
I've ridden with a few bloggers now, and even stayed the night at one of their houses. Funny though...people on both sides were asking us, "How well do you know this guy? What if he's an axe murderer?". They're cyclists! How bad could they be?
Put Lake Tahoe on your destination list!
@Jeff M -- Tahoe is always on my list. I haven't been out in that area in a dozen years...amazing it's been that long!
Love the photos OB. Nothing like clean asphalt, blue skies, green grass and knowing there is a pot of black coffee somewhere along the way.
I hadn't thought of the blog as a way to meet friends other than virtual ones - that's really nice. And yes, the ax murderer question would be one worth pondering!Nice pics of your visit to SD. We don't have vistas of lush green and actual water on the ground here, but keep in mind that you've got followers in Las Vegas.
If you're ever north of Seattle feel free to look us up. Remember to bring your rain bike and gear though.
It was very nice to meet you two. You know, you should organize a ride across the USA where bloggers jump on and off the ride as time allows. Get right on that.
Wow -- looks like the nationwide tour is underway...we've just got to get across Montana and we're set!
