What's up with that?

Mark (WD) recently asked me if I'd have rather broken a bone than gotten a concussion (of course I asked if I got to pick the bone!), and after thinking about it I think I'd go for the break....mainly because I understand physical pain, healing, timelines, when to push it and when not to. If my brain hurt, I'd understand it better. This vertigo stuff is plain old passive aggressive! :-)The Old Baghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08102309231670261719noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16992013.post-45038029585615313082012-10-09T21:17:18.734-05:002012-10-09T21:17:18.734-05:00Scary! I fractured three ribs and my sternum in a rather innocuous crash out there a few years ago. I continued to "try" riding for three days before going to the doc because the pain was so bad. Fractured ribs are far better than a damaged noggin:) Hope your healing process continues to go smoothly.

Vitohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01277306434031774094noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16992013.post-12770678672117720502012-10-08T20:32:24.738-05:002012-10-08T20:32:24.738-05:00Thanks all!

I really tossed the brain around -- I'm beginning my third week away from work. The concussion symptoms are gradually going away: vertigo, crushing fatigue and an amazing lack of ability to concentrate or multitask.

I'm familiar with misc. illness and injury, but this is new territory!
The Old Baghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08102309231670261719noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16992013.post-89569354678810514922012-10-08T13:33:23.322-05:002012-10-08T13:33:23.322-05:00Glad to see the smile returning!Glad to see the smile returning!Frostbikehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00608713389249262920noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16992013.post-28535969486368544512012-10-08T11:01:51.950-05:002012-10-08T11:01:51.950-05:00WOW...a great big WOW!!
